Why Lake Como?

Why should I book with Gemma Holiday Rentals?
Gemma Holiday Rentals has been built of trust resulting from the close working relationships between the property owners, Gemma Immobiliare and Gemma Holiday Rental staff.
Gemma Holiday Rentals is based in the UK and has a sister organisation Gemma Immobiliare based in Como Italy.  Unlike many other holiday rental companies most of the properties available for rent have been purchased by the owners from Gemma Immobiliare.  This means that there is a close working relationship between the property owners and Gemma Immobiliare staff and between Gemma Immobiliare and Gemma Holiday Rentals staff.
Therefore you can rent a property with confidence knowing that all transactions will be undertaken within the UK (Gemma Holiday Rentals) whilst your stay in Como Italy will be overseen by Gemma Immobiliare.
You can be assured that all the properties available for rent are of a high quality and the owners have maintained their properties to exacting standards   

What is a typical rental period?
All rental periods are based on a seven night 1 week period, with the arrival and departure days being Saturdays.  All other rental periods will be multiples of a seven night stay (14, 21, 28 days etc.,) with the arrival and departure days being Saturdays Occasionally rental periods may include additional days (10, 15 etc.)

When and where will I receive the keys?
The keys will be made available upon arrival at the property by either the owner of the property or a representative of Gemma Holiday Rentals.  Please refer to the taken out the word Letting Terms and Conditions for times of arrival

What is included in the price?
This will vary from property to property however all properties will include crockery and cutlery.  For bed linen, towels and other facilities please refer to the individual property details

Who do I contact in the event of any problems?
Whilst in Italy you can contact Gemma Fumagalli (Gemma Immobiliare) or if you prefer Mike Lowe (Gemma Holiday Rentals) the contact details will be provided prior to departure to Italy.  In case of emergencies then all the relevant contact details are provided on the links page.

What are the check in and check out times?

What is the booking procedure?
Once you have found a property that you are interested:

  • E-mail Gemma Holiday rentals with the property details to check the availability,
  • Upon confirmation of  availability, confirm the booking
  • Forward the deposit and completed Client Booking Form
  • Confirmation of receipt of the deposit and balance due date will be sent
  • Reminder of balance due sent
  • Forward payment of final balance
  • Confirmation of final balance along with details of access to the property and other travel information sent
